How to play Tango

Tap a cell to place a circle, tap again for a triangle, and once more to clear it. Cells that start filled are fixed and cannot be changed.

Every row and every column holds the same number of circles and triangles: 3 of each on the 6 by 6 boards, 4 of each on the 8 by 8 board.

No three circles or three triangles may sit side by side. A = between two cells means they hold the same symbol, a × means they hold different ones.

How do you play Tango?
Fill the grid with two symbols, a circle and a triangle. Every row and column must hold the same number of each (3 and 3 on a 6 by 6 board), and no more than two of the same symbol may touch in a line. A = between two cells means they match and a × means they differ. Cells that start filled are fixed. A full grid that breaks no rule is solved, and each board here has exactly one solution, so you never need to guess.
Can I play Tango without waiting for tomorrow's puzzle?
Yes. Press Next puzzle for a fresh board at the same level, as many times as you like. A new board is made in your browser each time, so there is no daily limit. Daily mode is there if you still want the shared board for the date.
Is this LinkedIn Tango or a different site?
No. The Dles is an independent site. We wrote this version ourselves, with its own circles and triangles, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn, which publishes the original daily Tango.
What are the two main rules of Tango (equal suns and moons, no three in a row)?
In the original, as Beebom and ConnectSafely describe it, each row and column must hold equal numbers of the two symbols, a sun and a moon, and no three identical symbols may sit in a row. Both sites also mention the = and × markers between cells. This version plays by the same rules but uses its own symbols, a circle and a triangle.
When did LinkedIn add Tango?
LinkedIn introduced Tango in October 2024. Its own announcement is dated October 7, 2024, and Newsio reported it the next day.
When does the daily Tango reset on LinkedIn?
On LinkedIn the daily games reset at midnight Pacific Time, according to Beebom and ConnectSafely. Daily mode here follows the date on your own device instead, so the new board arrives at your local midnight.
Do I need an account to save my best time?
No. There is no sign-up. Your best times, streak and the board you are on are saved in this browser, and nothing is sent anywhere.
