Daily games questions

What are some daily games like Wordle that I can play more than once a day?

Try Waffle Unlimited, Connections Unlimited and Betweenle Unlimited, the three word games here and the closest to Wordle in feel: a short puzzle, a clear finish and a time to beat. Pips Unlimited, Queens Unlimited, Tango Unlimited, Zip Game Unlimited and Colorfle Unlimited are logic puzzles with the same daily rhythm. For guessing games with a number, a place or a color to home in on, try Tradle Unlimited, Factle Unlimited, Costcodle Unlimited and Colordle Unlimited, and Size It Up Unlimited is the odd one out: instead of a grid you stretch a shape to its true size, five rounds to a run. Every one makes a new puzzle each time you press Next.

Is there a site with daily puzzle games and no daily limit?

Yes, this one. The Dles has thirteen puzzle games, and each makes a fresh puzzle in your browser every time you press Next puzzle. If you want the one-a-day feel, Daily mode gives everyone the same puzzle for the date at each level.

Which games here are like Connections?

Connections Unlimited is our own take on sorting 16 words into four groups. Waffle Unlimited is the other word game, about swapping letters to spell six words, and Betweenle Unlimited narrows a hidden word down by dictionary order. If you enjoy Connections for the pattern spotting, Queens and Tango reward the same kind of noticing, with grids instead of words.

Do I have to make an account to keep my streak?

No. There is no sign-up. Your streak, best times and the puzzle you are in the middle of are saved in this browser only, so clearing site data or switching browsers starts you fresh.

Is this the real NYT or LinkedIn games site?

No. The Dles is an independent site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by The New York Times, LinkedIn or any game maker named on this site. Every game here is our own version, and every puzzle is made by our own code.

Which of these games are word games and which are logic puzzles?

The word games are Waffle, Connections and Betweenle. The logic puzzles are Pips, Queens, Tango, Zip and Colorfle, which asks you to pick the colors that mix into a target. The rest are trivia and estimation games: Size It Up asks how big one thing is next to another, Tradle asks which country sells what you see, Factle asks for the real top five of a list, Costcodle asks what an item costs, and Colordle asks you to name a hidden color.

Why can I only play LinkedIn games like Queens once a day on LinkedIn?

On LinkedIn each of its games gives you one puzzle a day, as TechRadar and Tom’s Guide describe it, and that limit is LinkedIn’s own choice. It does not apply here: Queens Unlimited and the other games on this site make a new puzzle every time you press Next puzzle.
