DMCA / Copyright

How to report a copyright concern.

Last updated: November 8, 2026

We respect the rights of others and respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Send a notice

Email contact@thedles.net with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:

  1. the work you say is infringed, and your contact details;
  2. the address of the page on this site that you say infringes it;
  3. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised;
  4. a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you own or are authorised to act for the owner of the work;
  5. your signature, typed is fine.

What we do

We act on complete notices promptly, normally within one business day: we take the material down or disable access to it while we look into the claim, and we reply to you to confirm. A short email from an address at the rights holder's own domain that names the work and the page is enough for us to start.

Counter-notice

If you think material was removed by mistake, write to the same address with your contact details, the page, and a statement that you believe the removal was a mistake. We may restore the material if the notice sender does not object in time, as the DMCA allows.
